The Eleva Educação Group was born out of the will to combine the culture of results and the culture of learning to change lives throughout the country. Today, it coordinates networks of schools and a teaching platform that serves partner schools. Educators and collaborators have an extensive history of success in Education and are committed to the future of each student. They are passionate about the work they do every day.
With strong and traditional brands in education, Eleva is the largest group of self-owned schools in Brazil. In 2013 led by Duda Falcão, Bruno Elias and Rafaela Dantas, the Eleva Schools Group was founded. It all occurred when a group of engaged young educators, with the ambition to change Brazil through Education, met with the investment fund, Gera Venture* which also shared the same transformation desire. It was then that the merger of the Elite Rede de Ensino and Pensi Colégio e Curso, in Rio de Janeiro, occurred and the dream of being the largest and best chain of schools in Brazil came about. Currently, Gera Ventures investment fund remains the controlling shareholder of Eleva and in 2017 Warburg Pincus joined as an important shareholder.
The group has 3 business units, which include schools and an innovation area.
The Excellency unit, the first to exist in the group, proved Eleva’s ability to scale while maintaining pedagogical quality. There are 9 brands with a strong focus on academic excellence and a current curriculum as proven by the outstanding annual rate of admission to institutions such as Instituto Militar de Engenharia (IME) and Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA). The unit has 83 thousand students in the Pensi, Coleguium, Elite, Alfa, CBV, Nota10, Ideal, CEI and Master brands, in the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte, Pará, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Goiás, and the Federal District.
The Global unit, started in 2017 with the Eleva School (Botafogo Unit), and already has 4.5 thousand students. The unit is made up of bilingual, full-time schools focused on the development of global citizens and has proven its capacity to create new pedagogical products in line with the needs of today’s world. Always a step ahead, both in relation to the pedagogical proposal as well as the services offered, the brands develop new technologies and curricula in line with cutting-edge world-renowned trends, approaches and methodologies in education. In this unit, excellence is reflected in the admission rates to both national and renowned international colleges, such as MIT and Upenn.
Eleva has also an innovation area, the Pátio, which focuses on developing educational solutions for the market in terms of content and technology allowing Eleva to remain at the forefront of education. The socio-emotional curriculum Life Intelligence Laboratory (LIV) is used in both Eleva owned schools and partner schools and already has more than 300 thousand students in Brazil. The Technologies and Creative Experiences (TEC) curriculum is a maker program, that is, a project-based learning program and Luppa is a platform for the construction and application of assessments. In May 2020, Agenda Edu was acquired, a digital communication and payments platform that has more than 1 million users.
